Centerton UMC and Living Waters UMC New Church Start Agree To Merge.
For the past six months Centerton UMC and Living Waters have been discussing a possible merger of the two churches. Centerton has a small congregation that has been located on Main Street in Centerton for almost 140 years. Living Waters started as a daughter church of First United Methodist in Bentonville approximately three years ago. Both churches have a lot to offer the community and by putting our combined talent together we can better serve our community and Christ.
Plans are in the works to renovate the Sanctuary and other facilities at Centerton UMC to provide more seating and an updated worship space. Other options are also being studied for additional space in Centerton for ministry. The merger of our two congregations is a tremendous opportunity, but a lot of work must be done in the next three months. The Leadership team has been tasked with putting together groups for our transition. If you have an interest or experience in construction contact Greg Fogle at Greg_Fogle@nabholtz.com. With our new location and new members we have a unique opportunity to be creative in ministry and mission. All the changes are not finalized yet, so stay tuned and for more news.
