Our Vision

“Living Waters is not just any church. We have a vision – a dream – that guides our actions and efforts. Everything we do as a church should reflect this vision for as Proverbs reminds us, “Without a vision the people will perish.”

Many churches lose their way because they have forgotten their vision. Our vision is simple: “Help a spiritually thirsty world find the fulfillment all of God’s children long for.” We are called to be the hands, feet, and voice of Christ. In all that we do – or even think to do – we need to ask this one important question: “How does this help people draw closer to God?” The children’s program is not about entertaining kids, it is about bringing them closer to God. The music program is not about entertaining melodies, it is about bringing people closer to God. We do not need to seek permission to do something if it brings people closer to God.

Each of us in this new church is called to fulfill this vision, and God has given us the gifts and graces we need in order to do so. I have a tremendous amount of faith in the people of Living Waters, and it will be through each of you that this church will be a source of blessings to those who hunger and thirst – both literally and spiritually. So, if you have an idea you think will bring someone closer to God then you have the church’s blessing to go forth and accomplish it (don’t worry about some committee telling you it can’t be done).
