Ponderings
From the 'Padre'
A new year dawns and with it possibilities and dreams we can hardly imagine if we place our faith in the right place; Major decisions made in the next few weeks will shape our identity, and will require a lot of this community. I am focusing our reflections this month on “Shattering the Stain Glass Window: What the Bible really says about women.” Our culture does not treat women with dignity or worth, and the “Church” has certainly been complacent in this regard, but God does have a dream for women, and we who have daughters, granddaughters, sisters, and mothers need to understand those dreams before the world teaches them a different lesson. I know many of you men might be a wee bit distraught that worship might turn into a “Male Bashing Free-For-All” but let me assure you these reflections are not meant to be taken in that light. I hope and pray that the only resolution you make is to place your full trust and faith in God, for only in God’s Love do our dreams and destinies find fulfillment. 2008 was a wild ride, and 2009 will be a year of extraordinary change! God bless you all!

Do all the good you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.
